DouBle B’ s CFB Picks: Week 9 Tuesday / Thursday / Friday Edition

Yep. Theres Top 25 CFB (short for college football…if you haven’t figured that one out yet) action on Tuesday, between Northern Illinois and undefeated, 20th ranked Toledo. So I’m gonna pick that one plus Thursday and Friday’s slate of games, then look for my Saturday picks by Thursday or so…..

LLLLLLLLETS DO THIS!

CFB-Picks-Week-10

Tuesday, November 3rd
5PM West Coast Time
#20 Toledo over Northern Illinois
Line: Tol -7.5
O/U: 60.5

Northern Illinois has beaten Toledo in each of the last five seasons, all of which ended in the Huskies earning a Mid-American Conference West Division title. I’ve got a feeling the Rockets want just a slight bit of revenge.

Though Toledo is favored, they’re not gonna have it easy against a team rollin’ in averaging about 51 ppg over their last three games, all wins. They also played #1 Ohio State as tough as any team has thus far in the season, losing 21-14, and causing the Buckeyes to turn the ball over five times in the process.

Buuut yeah im still goin’ with Toledo, partly because I get a little chuckle when I think about em. I’ll probably tell that story on here at some point, all the the more likely if the Rockets keep winning. It does involve that son of a bitch Big Mike.

DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 – Championship Week Edition

Cream of the Crop…

Welcome to DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 Championship Week Edition. We’ve got four conference championship that all have a huge impact on the College Football Playoff chase, a couple Big 12 matchups, inlcuding Kansas State vs Baylor, which also could throw some complications into the mix. There’s also the Mountain West Championship (which impacts jack squat).

This might remind you why tonight’s Pac-12 Championship between Oregon and Arizona means a lot to both schools (but let’s face it, especially Oregon)

By the way, this is gonna be fast, I’ve got a busy shift coming up tonight and need to get ready. Last week I went 18-6, you can read those picks here and here, now, on to the Championship Week picks.

DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 – Week 14: Weekend Edition

There Will Be Blood…

Welcome to DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 Week 14: Weekend Edition. Theres already been five games and I came out 3-2 in those. UCLA got blown out by Stanford 31-10 this morning, ending the division title and (slim) College Football Playoff hopes for the Bruins. Marshall (aka Randy Moss‘s alma mater) lost when Brandon Doughty‘s two point conversion was successful in overtime, final 67-66 Hilltoppers.

It’s rivalry weekend, and that means its Apple Cup and Iron Bowl time, things are gonna get tense. Note the Nate Robinson picture, thats from the 2002 Apple Cup win for the Huskies, a game where he had an interception. Im very glad he decided to concentrate on hoops after that, but its a reminder that he had football game too. That particular game ruined the Cougs national title hopes. Yeah, that existed in 2002.

After seeing today’s The Force Awakens trailer I’ve got a Star Wars trilogy to get back to (currently on Empire Strikes Back. I started writing this at 11pm PST on Friday). So here comes some super rapid fire picks.

Get Ready for Cupcake Saturday!…

Welcome to DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 Week 13: Weekend Edition. West Virginia couldn’t quite pull off the upset on Thursday, so I am currently 0-1 for the week (see that pick, plus the Week 12 recap HERE).

But there is hope for a great week, many thanks to the SEC, because its that late week of the season that they all seem to line up cupcakes so any who are in the National Title hunt won’t get a loss on their hands. I mean look at the victims this time: Western Carolina (vs #1 Bama), Charleston Southern (vs #10 Georgia), Samford (vs #14 Auburn), South Alabama (vs 5-5 South Carolina), and Eastern Kentucky (vs Florida).

Best game of the week is coming out of the Pac-12, with #19 USC vs #9 UCLA.

Anyhoo, lets get to it!

FOOOOOOOOTBALL!…

Welcome to DouBle B’s CFB Picks 2014 Week 12: Weekend Edition. Since there was no Thursday or Friday Edition (due to the fact there were no Top 25 games), heeeeeeeeeeres…

Week 11 Recap (with last week’s rank in parenthesis):

By my count I went 15-3 last week, which I believe is the best I’ve done all season (thank you TCU, Baylor, ASU, and OSU). You can see those picks HERE and HERE.

As for the three I didn’t pick, we can start with the Huskies, who lost to UCLA 44-30, but really, it wasn’t that close. I was hoping Washington would come out and “play their best game of the season…but it was more like…

Then there was Auburn. For fucks sake they were a 23.5 point favorite, how was I gonna pick that one? By the way, I don’t pick for the spread or whatever they say, I don’t know gambling terms that well. AND DAMNIT THAT FUMBLE! Final Score: Texas A&M 41, Auburn 38.

I wasn’t very excited about the West Virginia / Texas game in the first place, and it was only a 3 point line, but I really didn’t think Texas would pull it off. 33-16 Longhorns.

Now its on to this week’s action with some rapid fire picks, I wanna get back to some sleep tonight.
