Note: Hawk’s picks for Sunday’s games will be released tomorrow afternoon.

Last week in my Atlanta and Washington preview I predicted that it would be a hard fought game and Atlanta would “struggle to put 20 points on the board (and they average 34.3).”
It was 19-19 at the end of regulation.
Atlanta would win in overtime after their defense had a pick 6 to increase their record to 5-0, making them the surprise of the season thus far. It appears as if new head coach Dan Quinn is making an immediate impact.
While the quick turnover from playing a game on Sunday to playing a game on Thursday usually favors the home team, Atlanta should have no problem going to 6-0.
If Atlanta is the most surprising team of the season, then Philadelphia is probably the most disappointing, and they put a 39-17 whoopin on the Saints last week. That is a bad Saints team over there.
Once again it is the pathetic Saints defense that is their Achilles heel, having given up a league leading 409 yards a game and that is a potent Falcons offense.
This one might not even be close.
Pick: Falcons 38 Saints 20
